How to Size

Sizing for your dog requires specific measurements to get the right fit.
At Lap of Luxury Dog Spa, we want to be sure you get the perfect size for
your pet so everything fits properly and they are comfortable.

Below is a guide to help you with your choice.  If you have any question about
any of our products, please feel free to call or e-mail us and we will be happy
to assist you in your shopping.

"A"
When sizing for a collar, be sure to measure a "snug but not tight" fit.
The proper collar should allow for 2 or 3 fingers to easily slide between
the collar and your dog's neck.  This will allow them to eat, drink, play,
sleep...whatever they would normally do without restricting them or
allowing the collar to slip accidentally over their head.

"B"
Any clothing should be measured according to an inches size.  Dog clothing
varies in size from manufacturer to manufacturer and "small", "medium"
or "large" will not fit the same.  The best way to judge size is to measure
from the base of the neck, down the back to where the tail starts.  All of
our sizing on the website list a size for reference, but also the inches
measurement to ensure you get the right fit.

"C"
Dogs come in all sizes and shapes, and sometimes a chest measurement
is required to get the proper fit.  When measuring for clothing or a harness,
take the measurement around the chest, right behing the front legs.  This
is the biggest part of their chest and will make sure everything is the proper
size when you get it.  Any special or unique item where this is important will
list the chest measurement next to the the length size.  And, as always, you
can always call us and get personal help from our experienced staff.
